About the course
The course is designed for geologists, geophysicists, engineers, petrophysicists or others involved in reservoir modeling.
The course covers practical use of knowledge about different reservoir sedimentology types while modeling. The students will learn how to integrate sedimentological concept of terrigenous and carbonate rocks into reservoir models. Theory and practice will be considered of handling core data and geophysical material. The course aims to give comprehensive understanding of all stages of sedimentological analysis for modeling uses.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course participants will be able to:- to build conceptual and sedimentological reservoir models,
- to understand the sequence of work with core material for advanced use,
- to identify main types of terrigenous and carbonate rocks, understand how they were formed and use that knowledge while modeling.
